Plot
Three years ago, four monstrous birds invaded the forest of the Clans. Bent on destruction, they picked off cats at will, striking terror into the hearts of even the bravest warriors. Gatherings were forsaken for fear of becoming easy targets, and the populations of all four Clans suffered. Finally, the leaders agreed to a truce to defeat the winged demons once and for all. After a long and bloody battle at Fourtrees, the birds were finally killed...but few cats rejoiced; the bodies of dead warriors lay strewn across the clearing.

It's been two moons since that final battle. The Clans are finally beginning to recover and pick up the pieces of their old lives. But where do they go from here, with new leaders, young deputies, and inexperienced medicine cats? The path will be long and hard, and many struggles lie ahead.

There have been a few posts around the site regarding to some "big changes" that were being discussed among the Admins, and here's what it was.

We are starting up a Clans of the Forest Version 3. It's been a joint decision by the Admins, and we believe that it will help bring a lot of old members back to the site, as well as lure in new ones.

Here's how it will go about.

V.3 will be the next generation. In other words, we're going 90 moons (7 1/2 years) into the future; new lead roles, new plot, completely new characters. Couples in V.2 that did not have a litter of kits in their time roleplaying but were planning them in the future have the choice to play them now. If you were playing a kit in V.2, it's an Elder now. V.2 will be the history of the forest, which means you are allowed to speculate on the past.

Our apologies to the newer members who made characters, but didn't have a chance to roleplay them. (This is the reason many of the auditions had their acceptances delayed.) If you want, you have the option to remove your character from the history of V.2 and place them into V.3. Or, you could just create another character. Your choice.

The bird plot is being closed off, and the details of the finale are currently being discussed. We are still trying to decide how it will have ended.

For those of you who are still in active threads and are interested in finishing them, there will be a 'flashback' board, where you have the option to finish them, or roleplay other events that occurred between V.2 and 3. It will exist in a section separate from the V.3 boards, similar to where the current "Graveyard" and "Old Posts" reside.

I hope this is clear to everyone, and we apologize if it makes it difficult to anyone. We hope you feel free to either PM this account or post on this announcement thread if...

You have any questions or concerns,

EDIT;; you have a character you made recently but haven't had a chance to roleplay with and would like to transfer over into the new generation,

or

you would like to have a litter between two characters. (Please state the mother and father, how many kits, and how you would like them to be distributed: played yourself, by friends, or sent to the adoption center.)

There will also be several lead positions open. There will be a couple reserved, but others will be available through audition. More details on this will be added at a later time.

The site is currently being worked on, but when it will be done can only be estimated right now. I would assume a couple weeks at max, however this date is bound to change as we continue working.

We thank you for your patience with us as we revamp the site, hopefully it will be up and running with activity soon!

Yes. <3 Most definitely. And, three sounds good, though we could say that one was a stillbirth if you'd prefer. I know we all would like one. x3 Hmm... y'think they'd be Rogues or Loners...? Probably Rogues... that'd be cool, considering I didn't have any this time around...

Anyway, accepted. We can work on the details in another way (PMs or MSN/AIM whatever.)

Also, so that I can say I made it official, Isabelle and Brackenclaw are also have kitties, which will be added to the... next-generation-character-list. Or whatever it'll be. When someone gets around to it.

And, I'll TRY to start on getting all the kittens straightened out into a thread and all.

To Clouds and Liz: Would Redstripe and Tinsel be having kits, or no, since both of you wanted to get rid of those two? -just thought of that-

(I just thought of how WEIRD it will be to roleplay the TC Apprentice+Featherkit+Lunakit Gang as Elders. That will tickle my funny bone. c: Especially Ebonypaw and Featherkit.)

oh wow, so much has changed... And I've only been logging in lately to check on a few things. I've been so lazy to even really do more than glance at this topic and just sorta put it back to the back of my brain for a while.
But now that I've actually gotten around to thinkin' bout it... my only kitteh to really survive to this time would be little Starpaw, who would be a senior warrior or a little younger since shes a new-new apprentice like fresh out of the nursery right now. Renamed Starsound as that was the name I had picked out...
And maybe my Shadowfire would be an elder.... or have a descendant, unsure.
I dunno, but what is the plot for V.3 if there is one picked out? The bird/kit plot just sort of fell apart and didn't move... 0.o
Personally I think the Seven Deadly Sins idea was pretty cool lookin'.

That's why ToxCeru kits are going to be warriors and KnochMidTox kits are going to be almost senior warriors.

And seeing as Batwing would probably be dead by now, taking Lunakit would still give you a v2 character to play in v3.

Well... no. o.o They would be 7.5 years PLUS however old they already are. So since Toxic was... I'd say about 33 moons, by now, he'd be 123 moons. In other words... dead. XD He wouldn't survive the time jump, nor should most of the rest of the Warriors. (That's the point of the new version, after all. New everything.)
